Years roll by and business people throng to the Trade Fair year
after year for business on the basis of mutual benefit. Working
hand in hand with each other, the business communities, foreign as
well as Chinese, discuss trade and economic co-operation in efforts
to promote world economic development and prosperity through the
Chinese Export Commodities fair,"a bridge for trade and a tie of
friendship".Since its incorporation in the spring of 1957, the Trade has grown in size. The facitities being perfected gradually, the Fair Attendance from session to session, the business turnover growing more and more significant, the Trade Fair has shown great vitality.All this, it goes without saying is the very outcome of full co-operation with and support from our friends.
China's social and political stability, its steady economic growth, its adequate supplies and vast market, etc. have all provided a solid material basis for the development of foreign trade. In our export trade it is our strategy" to win by product quality", to pay attention of prime importance to the improvement of product quality and to the upgradation of product, and to provide more and more proucts of fame, of superior quality, of novelty and of speciality to our clients. Following the indepth reform in the Fair Structure, with the continued raising in the exhibition level, the Trade Fair now finds itself in the transitional peiod from the traditional pattern to a worldwide exposition of crack commodities.
While being well pleased with visits by friends from afar, I would like ,in the name of teh secretary General of the Chinese Export Commodities Fair, to extend the warmest of greetings to our old friends and the most hearlt-felt welcome to those who are yet new to the Trade Fair.
