Dalian seaport: The Developing Zone of Dalian Harbor is seven sea miles from the old harbor. It is an important international trade harbor in China. Among 58 berths ,deepwater berths of above 10,000 tons account for 43%. It maintains trade contacts with more than 140 countries and districts. The regular flights to Japan, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Europe and North America have been explored, and the airlines of passenger transport are opened to Tianjin, Qingdao, Yantai, Shanghai and Guangzhou, etc.
New labor of Dayao Bay The new harbor of Dayao Bay which is a modern giant deepwater pivot harbor associated with developing Zone is under development. The water area is about 33 square kilometers, the depth is 12 to 14 meters, and the main channel is 17.5 meters deep. The abundant rear land area can be regarded as another advantage. Thus it becomes a desirably ice-free and silt - free deepwater harbor. The main part of the four berths in the first period of the project has been accomplished by 1991. The whole handling capacity reaches to more than 60,000,000 tons. The harbor will be equipped with modern containers and different machinery equipment for goods loading and unloading.
- Oil harbor: The developing zone is 8 kilometers from the giant exportation dove for crude oil--the Zhanyu Harbor. Its handling capacity of per year reaches to 15,000,000 tons.
- Fishing Port: Being an important aquatic base in China, the fishing port of Dalian Bay is only 3 kilometers from the Developing Zone.
It produces one-tenth of the fishes in China, with a variety of more than 40 kinds of processed aquatic products.- Monk Island Harbor: Just 1 sea mile from the developing zone, Monk Island Harbor has a giant thermal power plant and a harbor for coal and Sundry goods ,with an annual handling capacity of 5,400,000 tons.
- Railway: The Developing Zone is very near to the main north-east China railway. Passengers can take by trains to Beijing, Changchun and Harbin from Dalian, while freight trains can reach every big city in China. As to abroad, the railway in Dalian is linked with that in some Asian-European countries, such as Korea and Mongolia.
- Highway: Zhenxing Road in the Developing Zone is connected with Shenyang--Dalian expressway, making it so convenient to go wherever you want.
- Aviation: Dalian Zhou Shui Zi airport is 24 kilometers from the Developing Zone. Big aircraft such as Boeing 747 can take off and land here. There is already air service between Dalian and Tokyo, Fukuoka and Hongkong, while at home, you can fly directly to Beijing, Shenyang, Shanghai, Harbin Guangzhou, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Chendu, Changchun and Xian, etc.
- Resources
- Water: A 900 million cubic meters reservoir, which is 8 kilometers away from the Developing Zone, supplies Dalian City through the mainpipes. The water is of good quality and is abundant for the use of the Developing Zone.
- Electricty: Substation in the Zone is directly connected with the North-east high voltage power transmission network and is immediately adjacent to the HuaNen Dada Power Plant which has a installed capacity of 700,000 kilowatt, guaranteeing electric supplies to the Zone.
- Tourism
- Goldes Stone Beach, a national tourism resort: Twenty-four kilos away form Dalian Developing Zone, is a tourism heaven on beach, with clean and transparent sea water, winding bays, numerous capes and lying odd rocks around which make up a special sea-line scenery. It is a good place for leisure and vocation.
- The Grand Black mountain: The Grand Black mountain locates north in the Developing Zone and its comparative altitude difference is five hundred meters, ranging and winding about ten kilos. With chains of mountains, beautiful sunrises and fallings, pretty peaks and novel stones. There are many historical sites such as the Guanlin Chamber and he Country-water Temple. The mountain is a good choice for summer and helpful to health.
- The Blue-Sea General Survey: Three kilos away from the Zone, Characterized by fresh air, quiet environment, and modernized. hotels, bathing beaches and recreational places, is excellent for residence and tourism.
Dalian Developing Zone is 27.5kilometres away from the center of Dalian City. Dalian has 5.229 million inhabitants and area of 12574 square kilometers. It is an attractive sea-city of North-East China.
Dalian locateson the south of Jiaodong peninsular, to the east of Huanghai Sea and West of Bohai Seal. Southerly it is adjacent to Shandong peninsular with the sea is between. In the north, it borders on the vast North east Plain. Dalian is an important center of transportation and international-trade of North China.
Dalian's fertile soil produces the outstanding crops and fruity. It is famous for its acquit-products-cultivation and deep-sea fishing. The prawns, sea-cucumber. abalone. scallop of it are well-known throughout China and abroad.
