Located at the chemical industry zone in the Jiangdong district of Ningbo city, Ningbo Pesticides Factory is a large-scale chemical enterprise for organophosphorus pesticides and other chemical products. It was founded in 1958. The enterprise has a fixed assets of more than 70 million yuan with an area of 0.22 million sqm. It boasts 1,400 workers and staff members with 8.6 percent of engineers and technicians among them.
The enterprise has nine production lines and is equiped with a heating and power center of district heating which including two furnaces(35T/hour.set) and one generator(3000KW/hour ). The produced steam and power can be supplied to nearly other plants except for own using.
The plant is fitted with a railway line for our special purpose. That can carry the chemical products to the everywhere all over the country, and at the same time it can undertake the business of carrying chemical products for other plants.
The products of our factory are stated as follows:
1. The category of organnophosphorus include malathion,fenitrothion,methamidophos,parathion-methyl etc.
2. The category of herbicides include sulfonylurea series herbicides.
3. The varmint proofing series for cereals storage include 70% quality malathion emulsion (Fang Chong Lin), 65% refined fenitrothion emulsion(Sha Chong Shong),70% malathion-decamethrin emulsion (Bao Liang An)etc.
4. The chemical products include P-nitrotoluene, O-nitrotoluene, M-nitrotoluene, O-toluidine, M-toluidine, P-toluidine, N-ethyl-M-toluidine, triethyl-phosphite, phosphorus thiochloride, phosphorus trichloride, Chloroacetic Acid(MCA), Liquid Chlorine, Synthetic Hydrochloric Acid, Hydrogen, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hypochlorine, Sorbitol Hydrazine Hydrate, Methyl Chloroacetate, Trichloroisocyanuric Acid, 2-Chloro-6-Nitrotoluere, etc. The annual output of installed capacity of pesticides and chemical products amounts to over ten thousand tons.
With rich technical power, advanced test and measure means and complete equipments and facilities, the plant covers a vast area. Since 1983, the products had been sold in international market. The export volume has increased rapidly and amounted to 12 million yuan since 1992. The main products for export include technical malathion, technical methamidophos, technical parathion-methyl and technical fenitrothion etc. The technical malathion of 95 percent among them which was produced according to the international standard (WHO) are reputed by foreign traders.
